This annual street fair, sponsored by the Lexington Retailers Association, features over 80 Lexington businesses, civic organizations and town departments. It’s a sidewalk sale, a food festival and a great way to discover about what’s happening in Lexington. Please join us on Saturday June 1.
Celebrate the beginning of summer at Lexington's 34th annual Discovery Day, on Saturday May 25 June 1. The fun begins with a street fair and sidewalk sale from 10:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. and concludes with an outdoor concert by the “NoWheremen”, a local Beatles cover band, at 3:30 p.m. in Depot Square. A special dedication ceremony for the 300th Anniversary Clock & Time Capsule will take place rain or shine on May 25 at 4:00 p.m. in Depot Square. Sponsored by the Lexington Retailers Association and hosted by over 80 of Lexington’s businesses and civic organizations, this event lets residents "rediscover" their town, and nonresidents "discover" the delights of Lexington. The rain date is June 1st.
Lexington retailers will be ready for the crowds with plenty of great merchandise and giveaways in the Muzzey Street/Waltham Street Municipal parking lot behind Michelson’s Shoes. Local restaurants will be selling a variety of tasty food including Daikanyama’s Japanese cuisine, Khushboo’s Indian cuisine, Nourish’s hummus veggie plates and ribs, Ruyi Restaurant’s Asian food, Peets’ iced coffees and teas, Bollywood’s Indian cuisine, Qdoba’s Mexican grill, Royal India Bistro’s buffet, Upper Crust pizza, Tutto Italiano’s grilled sausages and pasta dishes, Domino’s pizza, and sweet treats from Rancatore’s Ice Cream and Wilson Farms.

In addition to great food, bargain merchandise, and displays of what Lexington has to offer, there will be live entertainment throughout the day. It will begin with performances from the students of the Dance Inn at the bandstand. At 10:45 music by Ben Rudnick and Friends’ get the crowds moving. From 11:45 until 12:45 the Mariachi Mexico Lindo will be roaming through the crowds livening things up. Topping the day off will be the talented Lexington High School Jazz Improvisational and Jazz Combo Ensembles.
Throughout the day there will be drawings for prizes donated by local merchants. Following Discovery Day, the winners of the merchant's prizes will be notified through the mail of their prize and the location of the business where they can pick up their prize. Coupons are available in the LRA advertisement in this publication. To be eligible for the prize drawings, entrants must deposit their "coupon" at the LRA booth located next to the bandstand. The winners of the Discovery Day's free prizes will be announced from the bandstand.
